Portslade), are the "next door neighbours" of St Nicolas Church.
This is a community of men. women and children, who were once homeless
but now live and work together, to help each other while helping others
in greater need then themselves. Emmaus collects donated goods,
furniture, bric-a-brac, clothing, electrical appliances etc., which are
refurbished by the community These goods are sold in there shop to
sustain the community. Every Emmaus Community world wide works to become
financially self supporting and direct all surplus to others in greater
need.
