1967 a new church is built and dedicated at Mile Oak,
The Church of the Good Shepherd becomes a conventional district, In 1994 Parochial Status was granted and The Church of the Good Shepherd was formally consecrated into a Parish Church and having equal status to the Parish Church of St Nicolas Portslade.
